A sustainable, from scratch kitchen that offers international organic, vegan, gluten-free soy-free, peanut-free, caffeine-free, additive and preservative-free cuisine, original organic herbal tea blends & tea accessories,  handmade jewerly, mixed media, prints, & originals.

At Flavors of Our Travels, we offer a rotating menu that is inspired by the many cuisines that we have been blessed to have cherished together. We do our best to base our menu upon seasonal availability, what is ethically responsible and most importantly, our wonderful local options (we enjoy utilizing our local options like Rutland Co-Op, Middlebury Co-Op & Upper Valley Food Co-Op). At this time, we are currently offering catering services and hosting take-home events for our local community! We are also going to be at Rutland Winter/Summer Markets and Fair Haven Markets! We are striving towards being an operational take-out/prepared foods kitchen in the immediate future.

I’ve been a chef for quite some time now, I began professionally in kitchens when I was sixteen years old as a busser at Red Lobster and immediately fell in love with bustling industry. However cooking has been a central focus in our family’s life for generations. Many of my family members have worked in the hospitality industry, whether as management, cooks or servers. My grandfather owned and operated a food truck business in South River, New Jersey during the 1950’s. At their peak they had thirteen trucks in operation which served his community faithfully. This was quite a feat during those times. Like us, he prepared his menu from scratch with local ingredients.

I have a wide range of culinary experience from fast-casual restaurants, short-order cook, line-cook, free-range farm-to-table production kitchen, sous chef, poultry processing, farm-to-table fine-dining as well as years of home cooking and family throw-downs. It brings us great joy to finally begin our own venture and be able to offer you our creations. This has been a dream of ours for years. Cooking is one of my beloved passions and I hope you enjoy our cuisine as much as we do.

Our family lives a very strict low-impact, plant-based, vegan, ital lifestyle and this principle is directly reflected in our cuisine. We take immense pride in the fact that we cook solely from scratch, using our original home recipes, strictly organic, non-GMO, vegan, gluten-free, sugar-free, caffeine-free, soy-free, peanut-free, additive and preservative free ingredients. We are a dynamic duo who loves to share our experiences through creating.
